Covenant House Texas (CHT) opened its doors in 1983 to provide shelter for homeless, abused and abandoned youth ages 18 - 20. After more than 30 years of service, CHT is still one of the only service providers in Texas of its type, offering an extensive continuum of care to the homeless youth population in Houston/Harris County.

The mission of Covenant House Texas is to offer homeless and runaway youth a safe haven from the dangers of street life and abuse as well as provide them with the necessary skills, training, and emotional support to choose positive life alternatives and develop into self-sufficient adults.

CHT carries out this mission by offering an array of services including walk-in services, a crisis shelter, free medical care, comprehensive case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational training, life skills training, a transitional living program, a permanent housing program, spiritual guidance and counseling, street outreach services, a runaway prevention program, and an aftercare program

Unbound formerly known as the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging is grounded in the Gospel call to serve the poor, Unbound is a lay Catholic organization working with persons of all faith traditions to create a worldwide community of compassion and service.

The Chaplaincy Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide financial resources for the Department of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Education at MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation's premier cancer hospitals.

As part of MD Anderson's mission of holistic patient care, the Chaplaincy department brings spiritual comfort and support to countless patients and family members who face the challenges of a life-threatening disease.  The chaplains and volunteers provide hope, care and love in a nondenominational setting.
 

Camp Hope opened in 2012 and is located in a quiet and safe setting in Houston, Texas whereby veterans and their immediate family members can find healing, help and hope while benefiting from an intensive peer support and mentoring program for Post Traumatic Stress.  In addition to temporary housing, Camp Hope offers a 90+ day PTSD recovery program in which residents: attend group lessons and support sessions with other combat veterans; conduct individual mentoring sessions with certified combat trauma mentors; participate in off-site small group interaction activities (fishing, hiking, local activities and events); and get involved with local churches, businesses and volunteer organizations to assist in their personal healing and educating the community on the invisible wounds of war.

That Man is You! is an interactive, multimedia men’s program focused upon the development of authentic male leadership. Over the course of three years, That Man is You! successively considers men in their relationship to God, to their spouse and to their children.

The program content harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. It is particularly indebted to the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and Pope John Paul II.

Archway Academy is an important school that offers a supportive, sober environment for students recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. Before Archway, no school in Houston addressed the unique needs of this special group.
 

Texas is one of the most biologically diverse states in our nation, second only to California in this regard. The Lone Star State boasts the greatest number of bird and reptile species and the second highest number of mammals. Of approximately 6,000 different kinds of native plants, at least 425 are endemic – found nowhere else in the world.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is responsible for ensuring the survival of these species, and Houston Zoo staff members work with them to implement a comprehensive conservation strategy, including creating biological inventories, protecting wetlands, developing partnerships, and increasing support for conservation on private lands.

The 100 Club financially rescues the dependents of firefighters and law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty by paying their debts and providing an education for their children.
 

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
 

Life School began in 1998 to serve students and families in southern Dallas. It is through the vision of the Founder, Dr. Tom Wilson, that Life School opened its doors with 15 faculty and staff members serving 266 students at the Oak Cliff campus.

Since its inception over a decade ago, Life School has experienced substantial increases in enrollment. Testimonies from parents to friends, neighbors, and co-workers have fueled rapid growth. Today, Life School has grown to six campuses serving several thousand students.

Life School seeks to develop leaders with the necessary skills to achieve success in the 21st century. Through character training, strong academics and parent involvement Life School will be successful in fulfilling its mission.

The Houston SPCA, founded in 1924, is Houston’s first and largest animal protection organization and shelter.  Our mission is to promote commitment to and respect for all animals and free them from suffering, abuse and exploitation. The Houston SPCA is a private, non-profit charity, funded entirely by donations, which receives no funding from the Government, United Way or national animal groups.

The annual Sean and Kari Tracey's Shepherd's Cup Charity Golf Classic, presented by the Galveston-Houston Knights of Columbus Charities, Inc. which benefits Catholic education, faith formation and St. Mary's Seminary.

The support we have received has enabled us to assist students and educators in our Catholic Schools, support CCE, Adult Education in our parishes, and encourage faith and fellowship through programs for our Young Adults.  The commitment and support for education and formation is instrumental in bringing the light of Christ to young and old throughout the Archdiocese.  We have been able to expand religious vocation discernment programs, develop formation programs for seminarians, diaconal candidates and laity at St. Mary’s Seminary, and funded new state of the art distance education for diaconate programs at the Seminary.
 

Founded in 1913, the Houston Symphony is one of America's oldest performing arts organizations, with a rich history of musical excellence. Maestro Hans Graf, who took the podium in September 2001, is now the Conductor Laureate, and Andrés Orozco-Estrada is the Houston Symphony's 16th music director.

Cenikor Foundation is one of the oldest and most successful substance abuse treatment centers in the nation with services throughout Texas and Louisiana. Museum of Fine Arts Houston offers to let you learn what has grown out of the "Houston Public School Art League" organized by a group of Houstonians over a hundred years ago for the "encouragement of art and culture in the public school system."

Spiritan Catholic Center Foundation Founded 3 years ago,  formerly  Fr. Poullart des Places Students Centre, (July 13th, 2008) by Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans) , Center caters for students living in boarding houses around Brgy T. Padilla and Bonifacio street. Among other things we conduct boarding house meetings, bible studies and visitations for college students, providing them counseling services. These students are far away from home and needed a center where they can go and share their life experiences.

The center also took care of children in Brgy T. Padilla, mostly working with the Brgy SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) in providing spiritual assistance and counseling. During the early years of the Center, lots of out-reach programs where conducted, like seminars, feeding programs and bundles of joy during Christmas season. To support the activities of the Center members of the Spiritans Peer Circle, a group of young professional working in Cebu, who were graduates of MSU/IIT Iligan City or their friends and office mates. In the center they were also being taken care of spiritually through monthly meetings, masses and recollections.
