How Total Rewards Pros can glean information from trends to be more agile in 2017

The Texas economy is a diversified engine of job growth and opportunity. Since the Great Recession, Texas job growth was driven by a resurgent oil and gas sector, exports and rapid population growth. The Houston region played a significant role in the Texas job expansion and has seen both the positive impacts of sector growth and the repercussion of falling oil prices. The demand for worker skills is being influenced by an economy evolving around new technologies, different business practices and an increasingly global perspective. Some industries are disproportionately affected, and projected employment and wage growth in various occupations is uneven. A clear trend is emerging of increased demand for technical skills, and more jobs are being created for which new and evolving skill sets are in demand. All these phenomena influence both the availability and price of talent going forward.

Join us as Rich Froeschle shares an interactive presentation that highlights Texas statewide and Houston regional employment developments, and overviews labor market trends that are influencing occupational demand, employer skill and hiring requirements, and wage rates.
